Nurses have the most contact with patients and are the most influential to whether the patient has a satisfactory hospitalization.
I think focusing on your self is extremely important when your job requires you to take care of others. This past month we went strawberry picking. The whole experience was a nice break from reality. It allowed us to be in nature, provide nutrition for ourselves, and just focus on the moment.
I commit to Quality of life. Nursing school is very stressful so whenever I can, I travel to find peace. I also tend to cook healthy meals and stay physically active rather it’s playing a sport or doing strength training in the gym. This is something I will continue to do, as it has helped me physically and mentally!
Nursing school has been extremely stressful and I often put it over everything including my kids, family, and friends. So starting as soon as graduation, I promise to LIVE with a purpose and to do the things that make me happy. If I am not happy and well, it's a downhill spiral on my kids and they need their mama! So cheers to doing more things like travel, ...
Nursing school often causes a lot of stress for me and raises my anxiety , and with being in school many years I can sometimes feel unmotivated and often burnt out . I tend to forget to take time for myself to relax and do things I enjoy which I feel contributes to feeling stressed or anxious. I commit to prioritizing my mental health by taking at least one day a ...
While being so busy in nursing school, I have found it difficult to want to be active due to exhaustion and wanting to lay down and rest. I know that that is not good for my health, so I try to walk my dog atleast once a day to get some physical activity!

However, taking care of them must mean taking care of me first. I have learned that prioritizing my mental health and wellness is essential in caring for those most ...
During nursing school it can get very easy to overindulge in “rest times” due to exhaustion and stress. However, it is proven that we need at least 30 minutes of exercise each day. I commit to go on a 30 min walk each day to promote better physical health and better coping for stress.
throughout the rest of nursing school and through my nursing career i’ll continue to keep doing the things that keep my quality of life up, such as going on walks and just being outside!
During the semester, I tend to get so wrapped up in school and stress that I forget to have fun and relax. I commit to engaging in fun activities and continuously seeking out opportunities for little adventures to add some fun back into life and help ease the stress of school.
I commit to rest and recuperate. Nursing school can be very demanding and stressful especially with night clinical. I vow to take one day a week to rest and reset for the coming week. I can watch a movie do some self care and prep meals for the busy week to come.
